Young migrants’ transition to work in the Netherlands: soft skills become hard barriers
There is ongoing concern in the Netherlands about the position of second generation migrant youth. This worry is fed by two, rather persistent phenomena: their educational disadvantage and the high youth unemployment levels. Young migrants generally drop out before graduation twice as often as their native counterparts.
